Chain Gangs

I just finished reading this book called Like Being Killed about a psychoic heroin addict's drug induced realization. At the end, the 2 main characters end up together, both infected with AIDS, listening to an eight-track of chain-gang's in Mississippi in the 20's & 30's.

I'm diggin it.

So last night Haru Bangs, Mouth Washington and The Screaming Females played at the Aphodian. I've seen the Screaming Females twice and both times were fucking kickass but this one definitely surpassed all prior expectations. It was dope to see Mouth Washington kill it and to sing along, and to watch Marissa shred it up like no other.
